A.P.C Reflective Glass Beads (AASHTO M 247-81) are solid, transparent, clean, colourless, spherical glass beads meeting AASHTO Standard Specification M 247-81: Glass Beads used in Traffic Paint. They are to be dropped or sprayed upon pavement markings so as to produce a reflectorised pavement marking.

  Roundness: 75% minimum of spherical beads

  Crushing Resistance: Retained 0.425 mm. (No. 40 sieve) 30 pounds minimum

  Refractive Index: 1.50 minimum

  Setting Time: Moisture proof coated so that the beads shall remain free of lumps and shall flow freely from dispensing equipment

  Floatation: 90% minimum of the beads shall float in xylene

  Application Rate: As Drop-on beads 0.3 - 0.5 kg/sq.m.
