Thermoplastic material that is heated and applied hot as traffic markings on cement concrete and asphalt road surfaces for use under tropical conditions. Manufactured basically to British Standard BS 3262: 1989 Hot-applied thermoplastic road marking materials but with a higher softening point.


Composition:
Binder (resin and oil) 20+2 % by mass
Solid Glass Beads 20 % by mass min.
Aggregate, Glass Beads, Pigment and Extender 80+2 % by mass

Softening Point: 950°c

Luminance: - as delivered 70 50 min.
  - remelted for use 65 45 min.

Flow Resistance 25 % max.

Skid Resistance 45  

  Application Temperature:

150-200°c


  Safe Heating Temperature:

210°c

  A.P.C. Tack Coat 0.1 - 0.2. kg/sq.m
A.P.C. Thermoplastic
  - Spraying to 1.5 mm. thickness 3.0 kg/sq.m.
- Screeding to 2.0 mm. thickness 4.0 kg/sq.m.
A.P.C. Drop-on Glass Beads 0.3 - 0.5 kg/sq.m.
